Music Birthday: Maestro Fresh Wes

🔊🥳Today, March 31, 1968, Maestro Fresh-Wes was born Wesley Williams in Toronto, Canada. For his 1989 debut album “Symphony in Effect,” Maestro recorded ‘Fortissimo,’ a song that samples hits such as Aretha Franklin’s ‘Save Me,’ KC & the Sunshine Band’s ‘I Get Lifted,’ and LL Cool J’s ‘Rock the Bells.’ The song, much like most on the album, is a production by Peter & Anthony Davis.
