This pioneer of Rock & Soul has 26 songs on the US Hot 100 that peaked in the month of March: ‘Cry to Me’ (no. 44 / March 17, 1962), and ‘You and Your Baby Blues’ (no. 96 / March 28, 1975). Bert Burns wrote and produced ‘Cry to Me,’ and it’s included on Burke’s “Rock N Soul” studio album. The song is also included on Burke’s 1998 “The Very Best of Solomon Burke” compilation album (no. 141 / US Billboard 200).
