HomageCollage: Jidenna, “The Chief”

🔊💜Today, February 17, 2017, Jidenna released his debut studio album, “The Chief.” The Album reached no. 38 on the US Billboard 200, and spawned the lead single ‘Long Live the Chief.’ The song was produced by Best Kept Secret, producers hits such as the late Nipsey Hussle’s ‘Faith,’ Dr. Dre’s ‘Darkside,’ SZA’s ‘Garden (Say It Like Dat),’ and Wale’s ‘New Soul.’ More standout tracks from “The Chief” are the Frank Dukes co-production ‘White Niggas,’ the Ellis Martin co-production ‘Some Kinda Way,’ and the Roman GianArthur co-production ‘Little Bit More.’ The latter song was successful on the Billboard Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Chart (no. 40).
