HomageCollage: Silk, ‘If You’

🔊💜Today, February 11, 1993, Silk released ‘If You ’ as a single in support of their third studio album “Tonight.” The song is a production by Delite Allamby and Kenny Flav, and it peaked at no. 13 on the US Hot 100. “Tonight,” also saw success in the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, peaking at no. 21 in April 1999. It must be mentioned how Freddie Gibbs slayed his ‘FLFM (Interlude)’ which uses a sample of ‘If You.’  The song has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, and it’s parent earned platinum.
