Rest in Paradise: Etta James

🔊🙏🏾Today, January 20, 2012, Etta James passed away, in Riverside, California. James covered Louis Prima’s 1947 song ‘A Sunday Kind of Love,’ and included it on her fall 1960 “At Last!” album. The song has since been covered by Boyz II Men, Reba McEntire, Renee Olstead, and more. “At Last!” peaked at no. 2 on the US Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Catalog Albums Chart.
